Our Special Needs Classes
The education of children with disabilities is a top priority at E’s Haven Academy. To insure that our children with disabilities get quality care and education, our nation’s special education law (the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), sets high standards for their achievement and guides how special help and services are made available to address their individual needs.

All special-needs students are capable of success. Each will succeed according to his or her individual ability -- but all can succeed.
Our Special Education Teacher uses various techniques to promote learning. Depending on the disability, teaching methods can include individualized instruction, problem-solving assignments, and small group work. Our Special Education teachers help to develop our children Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for each special education student. The IEP sets personalized goals for each student and is tailored to the student's individual needs and ability. Our Teacher at E’s Haven Academy works closely with parents to inform them of their child's progress and suggest techniques to promote learning at home. They are involved in the students' behavioral, social, and academic development, helping our students develop emotionally, feel comfortable in social situations, and be aware of socially acceptable behavior.
Our Special Education Teachers communicate and work together with parents, social workers, school psychologists, speech therapists, occupational and physical therapists, school administrators, and other teachers.
