I attended this wonderful school in 1984, and now my child is going here. I love this school!
My Kids Have been attending E's Haven Academy for about 4 months now and I Can Truly Say That My Children Are Learning. Coming Home every day to see that they have learned something new is exciting. My daughter is singing and learning her ABC and Numbers. She also likes to draw circles and draw lines. I would like to thank the whole staff of E's Haven for doing a great job with the children who attend. Ms. Harris Keep up the great work and continue to shake the devil because with God all things are possible.
Ms. Sierra Smith I attended this wonderful school in 1984, and now my child is going here. I love this school. This is not a daycare this is truly a learning facility. The teachers are kind loving and hands on with everything. My child is and has learned so much. She shocked me on her first week there she came home saying "mama I have to go urinate", what toddler knows that word and how to use it... They all do at the haven. Keep up the good work. Princess Scott What a great school! I would like to say my daughter, Korita, is in the center, one of the first students to attend E's Haven Academy back in 1985 and I must say I was deeply impressed with what Ms. Sharon Harris had to offer and teach these children, my child then at the age of 1-1/2, attended the school until she was 4 years old. One thing I remember was when she learned a full paragraph of the Martin Luther King speech at 3-4 years old! She was always at above average once starting public schools, gifted and talented and AP classes.. Hats off to E's Haven Academy and Ms. Harris. Any parent who's children attend will be proud! I have been taking my son Angel (3yrs) who has Down Syndrome for about 2 yrs. now to E's haven Academy. Thanks to the staff he has improved in speech, motor skills, and even his attitude. He is now able to tell me what he wants not only by signs but by telling me what it is. They also work on puzzles, shapes, colors, alphabet and drawings.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Mrs. Harris and staff. Angel is above his level for a child with Down Syndrome and will be more than ready for kindergarten when the time comes. This is not only a day care but a learning center and it is a guaranteed your child will learn. Abigail Cruz My grandson attended E’s Haven Academy several years ago. He learned so much while attending E’s Haven Academy. Ms. Harris is a wonderful teacher; she loves the Lord and the children in her care. When my grandson went to public school, he was overly qualified for the 1st grade. They tested and tested him and he would pass the entire test with flying colors. I can't wait to enroll my granddaughter because we want her to get the same kind of care and education as her brother. It’s something about the way Ms. Harris teaches her students that makes them want to learn. The children at her school are well mannered, kind and caring to each other. We love you- E’s Haven Academy! Mrs. Debra Thomas |
I have something to say about E's Haven and Ms. Sharon Harris!
Hi Ms. Harris! I am so excited! E's Haven Academy has grown so much, I am proud of you and glad that other children get to experience you as we did as a teacher. I am very long winded and It will be tough to keep this insert short, but I have so many great memories and things to say about Ms. Harris and her program.
I attended E’s Haven Academy in 1985-86 when I was 3 and 4 years old. I have many vivid memories of attending this establishment so many years ago at such a young age. Ms. Harris and her aides were very involved and attentive with me and my friends, many of which I still keep in contact with today. With this being the beginning of her Academy, you can imagine that access to every necessity as an “established” business would have, was not the case. I can remember Ms. Harris piling us into her Volkswagon Beetle to get us to the park up the road so we could play outside. There were not enough seats for each child, so we had to “lap up” with the older larger kids on the bottom and the smaller kids on the laps.
She used to tell us to make sure the seat belt was strapped over everybody, even the lapped kids. Ensuring that each of us had all of the things necessary for healthy development included our exercise…but now that I am a parent, I am sure that burning off of energy was beneficial for both Ms. Harris and our parents as well. My younger brother attended E’s Haven Academy about 3 years later, and Ms. Harris asked me and some of the kids I graduated from her school with to recite poetry in her “Color Me Brown”production. I was then in the 2nd grade, but I can remember being excited that Ms. Harris now had a van to ride in with the name of her school written on the side of it. She also had a playground set in her backyard that I played on briefly while she spoke with my mom about the upcoming recital. It never felt like I was going to school, I used to be excited to go spend time laughing and learning with Ms. Harris all day. She loved all of us, and we knew it.
I am now a married mother of two children (Ms. Harris attended my wedding ceremony), and completing my last class to earn my Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. Since my husband serves in the U.S. military we do a lot of relocating, but if I were living in the Dallas area, my own children would be prepared for greatness with Ms. Harris as their guide. Her program is the perfect blend of love, patience, and motivation that you cannot find in just any establishment; I would recommend it to anyone. Whether it was through activities, academics, performances, or simply being reminded to use my manners when speaking to other people, I took valuable lessons from Ms. Harris that I have continued to teach to my own children.
